Pim van der Veer

With a wealth of experience and a lifelong passion for motoring, Pim first entered the automotive industry in 1957, selling German road tankers, and has been photographing motor shows across Europe since the 1970s.

Along the line he has edited the MG Car Club Holland magazine and contributed to various other motoring magazines including a monthly glossy classic car title. He has acted as press & liaison representative for the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) in the Netherlands, and founded a PR consultancy with 137 clients (as of end 2010). Some of those clients have included British Leyland Nederland CV, Perkins Engines, Foden, Subaru, Rolls-Royce Motors (Shrewsbury), Datsun Nederland, Pegaso, Hyundai, Hino, Daihatsu Nederland, Unipart, Seat, Skoda, FSO, Lucas Automotive and Iveco Benelux.

Pim has also developed his own extensive archive, ‘Autohistorisch Archief W. van der Veer & Zoon’, which includes brochures, press photographs, his own images, manufacturer CDs and automotive articles. Now driving one of the last MGBs manufactured, Pim is an enthusiastic camera collector, owning over 160 different models.
